For players, ‘Restless’ rewards close listening. Marco Zocco prioritizes song architecture over pyrotechnics, and that’s exactly why the guitar work shines. Verses sit on a tight, mid-forward rhythm bed—articulate strumming with controlled dynamics—before the chorus opens into broader chord voicings that leave air for stacked backing vocals by brothers Paolo and Matteo Zocco (plus a discreet lift from producer Gunnar Nelson). The lead lines avoid grandstanding: tasteful bends, melodic motifs that answer the vocal, and restraint where many would crowd the pocket.
Low end is a masterclass in supportive interplay: Carmine Rojas phrases around the kick with a lyrical sensibility, letting the guitars keep their chime. The drum picture toggles between Slim Jim Phantom’s brush texture and London Hudson’s firmer attack, giving the track both glide and drive. On the production side, Stephen DeAcutis preserves pick transients and stereo width without collapsing the center image; Howie Weinberg’s mastering adds cohesion and lift without harshness—translation from nearfields to car is excellent.
Arrangement details worth noting: piano doubles hint at chorus harmony, synth pads act as emotional glue in the bridge, and the final refrain thickens without resorting to a wall-of-sound smear. Guitarists looking for “how to be big without being busy” will find a blueprint here. ‘Restless’ proves ZOCO can speak to players while keeping the emphasis firmly on the song—a promising sign ahead of LUMANISTA (Part 1) in early January 2026.
