Chloe Star releases her new single ‘Walking On The Sun’ today, June 26, 2026, on Chloe Star Records. The Persian and Indigenous singer-songwriter, visual artist and tribal advocate is 28 and grew up between her family’s reservation in San Bernardino and Los Angeles. She began expressing herself creatively as a pre-teen via journaling and art, influenced by the musical elements of her Persian and Indigenous background. Breaking out in 2023, she has built her profile on authentic and emotionally direct songwriting that has attracted a growing audience. Rolling Stone included her track ‘Bad Habit’ in the 2025 Best New Music: Songs You Need to Know feature. She has played the main stage at London Pride and appeared at New York Pride Festival, Back Lot Bash in Chicago, Out & Abt in New York and The Dinah in California.
The single ‘Walking On The Sun’ shows her refining an alt-rock base by combining trap-heavy percussion with gritty, overdriven guitar work. An intricate build-up of tension runs through the track before it hits the anthemic hook. At that point raw rock energy intersects with contemporary urban rhythms. Star’s fierce and magnetic vocal delivery holds the center, giving the piece its sharp modern vitality that should connect with fans of Julia Wolf, Machine Gun Kelly and Sleep Token.
Chloe Star shared: “This song is about the corruption I’ve seen in the treatment and rehab industry, where profit often seems to matter more than genuinely helping people recover. I’ve been through facilities that made me feel like they were more interested in keeping me sick so I would keep coming back. Fortunately, I was later blessed to find an incredible rehab center that truly cared about its clients and wanted them to get better. That experience changed my life, and it was the last rehab center I ever attended.”
