Italian trio Materazi Future Club returned on 6 November 2026 with their second album, THE ITALIAN JOB, released via Woodworm Publishing SRL and Universal Music Italia. Comprised of Marco Manini, Riccardo Montanari, and Edoardo Piron, the group fuses punk, electronics, and dancefloor urgency with the iconography of football culture. Their sound is marked by raw guitars, rapid rhythms, and dub-inflected samples, referencing football legends such as Francesco Totti, Julio Cruz, and Igor Simutenkov. The band’s live presence at Sziget Festival and MI AMI Festival, alongside the 2024 Punkinari EP (which surpassed 100,000 Spotify streams) and a UEFA Champions League soundtrack for Amazon Prime Video Sport featuring the Casa Piccinini theme, has established their profile. The album sets the stage for a European club tour through Turin, Fontanafredda, Florence, Milan, Ravenna, and Berlin.

THE ITALIAN JOB delivers a vibrant, forward-leaning post-punk sound, driven by kinetic instrumentals and samples sourced from post-match interviews and live commentary. Recorded in London with Snapped Ankles producer Jake Long, the album refines its electronic textures while retaining the trio’s signature three-part vocals and a distinctly UK post-punk sensibility. Following the single ‘Dio Perdona Riganò‘ with Federico Russo, the project spotlights seven Italian players from the Premier League. The lead track, ‘ZOLA (The Italian Job, Pt. 1)‘, launches with a propulsive acoustic drum groove and a sharp post-punk guitar motif, underpinned by the group’s layered vocals. Lo-fi arpeggios inject an electronic pulse as commentator samples punctuate the mix. The four-minute track sustains a relentless momentum, echoing the urgency of an early-2000s heist film, and will resonate with fans of Fontaines D.C., IDLES, and Sprints.

Materazi Future Club shared: “We wrote the first draft of ‘ZOLA (The Italian Job, Pt. 1)‘ here in Milan; the song sounded “smaller”; it was missing something, and we knew it. Once we went to Jake Long‘s London studio, the producer opened the project and told us, ‘That’s my idea; tell me what you think. As soon as he pressed play, we were speechless: it almost sounded like a drum ’n bass song, with an electronic bass line that made our brains shake too. From that moment, without even telling ourselves, we decided that it would be the song from our album THE ITALIAN JOB on which we would push most.”
