Grayscale just delivered the deluxe edition of The Hart, out now via Infield Records. The Philadelphia band spent 2025 turning heads after the original album landed in January, piling up millions of streams, festival main-stage gigs at Riot Fest, Slam Dunk, Sad Summer, and Firefly, plus a Forever Yours video that’s sitting pretty at 1.2 million views. Built from a tight crew of friends since 2016, they’ve toured with alternative icons like All Time Low, The Band Camino, and Smallpools, and they’re about to take their biggest UK/Europe headline tour yet, rounding out the remainder of their year.
Every song on the original got tweaked, either remixed, rebuilt, or received a feature. Cassadee Pope walks away with the crown on the new version of Painting Over You, her voice locking perfectly with Collin Walsh over glassy synths and a chorus that begs for arena lights and a main stage feel.
Elsewhere, Smallpools bring their sugar-rush bounce, Derek Sanders adds Mayday-grade melody, and Slowly Slowly adds to the anthemic atmosphere of ‘Kept me alive‘. The ‘Let Go’ remix trades guitars for pulsing electronics, adding a tasteful hint of scene music whose elements are becoming a trend again. The Painting Over You video keeps it stripped: just two singers in a cramped apartment, trading lines as if the mics were the only things in the room.
