Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton have teamed up for a country-infused rendition of Carpenter‘s 2024 hit ‘Please Please Please,’ featured on the deluxe edition of Carpenter‘s album Short n’ Sweet, released on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025. This collaboration marks a significant fusion of pop and country music, blending Carpenter‘s contemporary pop sensibilities with Parton‘s legendary country style. The accompanying music video, set in Nashville, features Carpenter and Parton embarking on a vintage-inspired road trip, culminating in a dramatic scene reminiscent of ‘Thelma & Louise,’ where a man, is handcuffed and hooded in the back of a truck.
The deluxe edition of Short n’ Sweet also includes four additional tracks: ‘15 Minutes,’ ‘Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,’ ‘Busy Woman,’ and ‘Bad Reviews.’ Carpenter expressed her excitement about collaborating with one of her idols, stating, “I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me.”
