The song’s raw, heartfelt lyrics explore the ache of distance and the grief that comes with losing a loved one from afar. Erdem, who lived in a different country from her grandfather, never had the chance for a final goodbye. ‘Enkaz‘ became her way of confronting that unresolved farewell, capturing the delicate tension between holding on and learning to let go. It’s a reflection on the way those we love continue to live within us, even after they’ve left.
