The story is not new: a 14 y/o teenager from Cambridge (who started to learn the piano and the guitar at a very early age) experienced lockdown and heartbreak in 2020. He recorded intensively in his room and the result is Care Home Party, a 9-track debut album that Field Mates Records and Hidden Bay Records are happy to co-release.
Exploring timeless indie rock and lo-fi bedroom pop, Sean Trelford sings his disillusion in a touching way, where heavy outbursts (“Lonely, Lonely”) alternate with piano daydreams (“Happy Go Lucky”) and bright indie pop (“Dearest One”).
