Trudy and the Romance Release New ‘Mutant 50s Pop’ track

Hot off their support tour of The Big Moon and their release of the lumbering ‘My Baby’s Gone Away’ last month, Trudy and the Romance continue to tread the overlap zone between doo-wop and rock with their new release ‘Sandman’.

The tastefully messy ‘Sandman’ reinforces their place in what the Liverpool outfit have dubbed “mutant 50s pop,” and one can’t help but feel a little nostalgic with the sounds of yesteryear bleeding through the driven guitars and rollicking, shouty vocals. It’s a fiery band demanding just 3 blistering minutes of your attention and possibly a pop high-water mark for a band on the rise.
