Italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Mouth Water returns with his most fully realized release to date, Technology Fueled Dream Obsolescence, out now via Through The Void Records. Released on December 19th, 2025, the album marks a major milestone for the project, following a steady rise in international recognition, critical acclaim, and millions of streams. Praised for its depth and sophistication, the project has earned attention from outlets such as MusicTech, Electronic Groove, We Write About Music, Music and Essential, and TAGG. Beyond the studio, Mouth Water has built a reputation for immersive live performances, with highlights including Primavera Sound, opening for Röyksopp at Tenax Club, and supporting Sophie and the Giants on tour.
Mouth Water is the sonic and visual project of Lawrence Fancelli, an Italo-American artist whose work blends emotionally driven electronic production with cinematic restraint. Drawing from house foundations, ’80s synth-pop atmospheres, and nostalgic electro-pop textures, his music balances analog warmth with modern precision. Written across several years between Florence and New York, his latest record captures a deeply personal reflection on intimacy, resilience, and human connection in an increasingly digital world.
Technology Fueled Dream Obsolescence operates as a cohesive listening experience rather than a collection of standalone tracks. The album explores the tension between immediacy and depth, motion and reflection, expanding beyond the introspection of earlier releases toward clarity and emotional momentum. Singles such as ‘Fireflies’, ‘Smoke’, and ‘Rise’ set the tone, while ‘JJ (Give and Take)’ serves as a quiet emotional centerpiece. Written for Fancelli’s daughter, born mere months before work on the album began, the track strips back synthesizers in favor of soulful melodies, space, and subtle vocoder-laced vocals. The result is an album that feels both deeply personal and widely resonant; an intimate exploration of human connection shaped by time, place, and lived experience.
