Today, Scottish indie-rock band FAEDA released ‘All Thorns No Roses’, following up their first single of the year, ‘Look Me In The Eye’. The band comes from Thurso in the far north of Scotland and has built a strong reputation with sold-out headline shows, memorable festival appearances, and support slots for acts like Sam Fender, The View, The Lottery Winners, THE HARA, and The Luka State. Their live presence earned them a Best Live Performers nomination at the 2025 AIM Awards and the Best Performance award from The Brighton Journal for their set at The Great Escape Festival.

‘All Thorns No Roses’ sees FAEDA plunging into a richer, more expansive rock sound. The track pulses with late-2000s alt-rock spirit, tipping its hat to Panic! At The Disco and fellow Scots Twin Atlantic, all polished by a crisp, modern production. Towering melodies, guitars brimming with hooks, and a relentless drive keep the adrenaline high, making the song instantly gripping yet unmistakably FAEDA. Inspired by frontman Robbie McNicol’s own battles with betrayal and manipulation, the lyrics trace a time when he was cast as a pawn in someone else’s game, clinging to empty promises while others pulled the strings. That raw vulnerability is met with newfound strength, transforming the song into a bold declaration of self-determination.

This is FAEDA refusing to coast, doubling down on the raw qualities that mark them out as their momentum keeps climbing. The release firmly positions the band among the UK’s most compelling alternative acts to watch across 2026 and the years that follow.
