Seth Tabatznik has dropped the final single from his upcoming sophomore album Awakening Embers, with ‘We Are Walking Home’ now streaming everywhere via Moth Music. The London-raised, Western Cape-based artist, who only started releasing music in 2024, has already racked up over 200,000 streams and sold out early live dates at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town and Green Note in Camden. Previous singles ‘Shining For Love’ and ‘Choose To Be Alive’ picked up coverage from CLASH Magazine and EARMILK. Working closely with mentor Nick Mulvey on the new record and drawing long-term influence from guitarist Rainer Scheurenbrand, Tabatznik’s grounded indie-folk approach puts him in the same bracket as Paul Simon, Ian Anderson, and Vance Joy.

Drawing from both his London roots and current life in South Africa’s mountains, Tabatznik’s songs fuse acoustic folk with medicine music’s deliberate, earth-connected feel. ‘We Are Walking Home’ begins with a clean flute line that opens space for his steady, mantra-like vocals, repeating the core refrain as guitar, strings, and understated percussion build underneath. Mid-track, the arrangement flips where the same material returns faster and brighter, driven by African rhythmic layers that directly channel the cross-cultural energy of Paul Simon’s Graceland period.

Seth Tabatznik shared: “I had this lyric in my head for months: “We are walking home, into the womb of the universe”. I didn’t know what to do with it. Then one day I was just fiddling around on the guitar and the whole song came to me in minutes and I couldn’t stop playing it, imagining African vibes to accompany alike to Paul Simon‘s Graceland.

This song is about the times of transformation we are in, the tipping point of all things; a time of chaos and destruction, but also of creativity and rebirth; of coming back into our hearts and remembering.”
