Today marks the release of Seth Tabatznik‘s latest single, ‘Choose To Be Alive’, out now through Moth Music (Mother Of The Heart). The London-born folk musician, who kicked off his recording career just last year, has already racked up more than 100,000 streams on various platforms. His name has started to gain some weight as he’s started to gain a large following with a packed debut at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, followed by another sold-out set at Green Note in London’s Camden area. With a follow-up album slated for 2026, Seth Tabatznik is gearing up to solidify his name within the indie sphere. Now calling South Africa’s Western Cape mountains home, his work draws from personal roots and a clear intent, blending acoustic folk with elements of medicine music that honor the natural world.

The track pulls in listeners with its grounded acoustic guitar lines and subtle shaker rhythms, topped off by stacked vocals, warm harmonies, and a haunting flute break. It stands as a personal musing on gratitude while pushing an energizing message to live fully and mindfully. Seth Tabatznik’s gentle delivery ties into his overall style, mixing genuine lyrics with sounds that echo the energy of Vance Joy, Paul Simon, and his guide Nick Mulvey. Under Nick Mulvey‘s mentorship, which helps mold his next album, and drawing from lessons with guitar instructor Rainer Scheurenbrand, the song fuses real-life insights, mentorship, and a touch of spiritual depth into something that feels fresh in times where music is flooded with forced perception and aura farming.

Seth Tabatznik shared: “This song is very much inspired by my daily meditations. I follow Dr. Joe Dispenza‘s methodology and this song is what his message would sound like if he wrote singles instead of giving lectures. This song is all about our power as the creators of our own lives to take responsibility for our behaviours and our actions, and not to be victims of any situation. It’s about being grateful for life, as good things flow to those who are in love with life, who have big and open hearts, and who choose to focus on gratitude for what we have, rather than pay attention to what we feel we lack.
