Today Pinwheel Valley drops their new single ‘’Someway’’, out now through Hot Soap Records. This release builds on their recent track ‘’Werewolf’’, which debuted in METAL Magazine and earned airtime on RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ 2XM, and NPR Music. The band boasts over 2 million streams, shoutouts in CLASH Magazine, NOTION, Earmilk, and Billboard Argentina, plus spins on BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Sheffield. Their tune ‘’Your Superman’’ hit No. 13 on the US iTunes Alternative Chart, and videos for ‘’Willow’’ and ‘’Abduction’’ scooped Best Music Video awards at spots like the New York Film Awards, Vegas Movie Awards, and Swedish International Film Festival. Fronted by Jordanian-Canadian artist Qais Khoury—a singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist—the project started as KAIS and now mixes indie soul, mellow alt-rock, and folktronica vibes, pulling from influences like Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver, James Blake, and Radiohead. For gigs, it’s a full lineup with Qais handling vocals, guitar, and keys; Stephanos Marangos on lead and supporting guitar; Max Daniels on bass and Ableton; and either Stephanos Meletiou or Phrangiskos Petrisis on drums. Qais honed his skills at Point Blank Music School in London, shaped by a life across Amman, London, Vancouver, and now Cyprus, where he runs Hot Soap Studios Ltd. His early days involved songwriting from age 13, inspired by his dad’s covers of Sinatra and Elton John.

‘’Someway’’ shifts Pinwheel Valley toward gentle indie folk, built on understated acoustic guitar lines, light ambient textures, and sparse drumming that support Qais‘s raw, emotive delivery. The track’s classic feel underscores lyrics pushing for real human ties amid today’s disconnected world, appealing to listeners into Father John Misty, Jeff Buckley, or Nick Murphy. Qais Khoury wrote and produced it himself, channeling a sound that’s both personal and expansive.

Frontman Qais Khoury shared: “I wrote ‘’Someway’’ as a tender plea, woven with threads of hope and longing. It reflects the ache of separation (be it physical, emotional, or spiritual) and the deep yearning for reconnection. In an age defined by instant, hypermodern communication, I found myself gazing out to sea, inspired by a bygone era when messages in bottles carried words of love across vast, uncertain distances. The song captures that sense of remoteness, and the fragility of faith in a bond that may still endure. In this light, the refrain “know I’ll find it someway” becomes an unyielding anchor of hope.”
