CLOUD HOUSE releases brand new single ‘Broken’

CLOUD HOUSE, the rising indie rock band from Glasgow, has just released their first single of 2024, ‘Broken’, on 28 June, following the success of their breakthrough 2023 EP, Still Here. Known for their rousing sound reminiscent of Sam Fender, The Killers, and The 1975, the 5-piece band has gained significant acclaim. Clash Magazine has described them as ‘rising, rousing indie rock’, and they’ve been twice featured as BBC Scotland’s ‘Track of the Week’. Their accolades include winning the International Rootstock Festival, selling out King Tut’s in 2023, and being named “ones to watch in 2024” by Jim Gellatly.

Building on these impressive accomplishments, CLOUD HOUSE continues their upward trajectory with their radiant new single ‘Broken’. This unique break-up song diverges from the typical romantic split, instead highlighting the fading connection of a long-distance friendship, providing listeners with a poignant and uncommon story. Beneath the lively tempo and dynamic, spirited guitars, the raw and introspective lyrics reveal songwriters Conor and Patrick wrestling with the sorrow of losing a friend and the helplessness in trying to reconnect.

Patrick on ‘Broken’, “It comes from a place of frustration and anxiety – wishing you could click a switch and revert to the way things used to be, whilst trying to move on and let them know you’ll always be there for them’.
