Electronic music producers Solstis turn towards indie with latest song, ‘Miss You’

Indie electronic musical pair, Solstis have just released their latest track, ‘Miss You’ via Lowly Palace. The track is lifted off of their upcoming EP, As The Sun Hits which is a 3-part EP series highlighting Solstis’ new sound. The duo released another single from the same EP prior to this track, named ‘About You’.

Curious about their previous sound, we investigated one of their most popular songs, ‘Open Your Eyes’. According to Noiseporn, “The track begins with mysterious percussion and deep synth basses that swiftly mutate into an even heavier four-on-the-floor bass house phenomenon”. You can have a listen to the single below.

While we enjoyed their synth heavy basses, their new sound is a sign of evolution and growth. Taking their love of bass, the two elevate it with simple percussion along with resonating voices. The result leaves the listener with a warm glow, proving that their choice of name for the upcoming EP is an excellent once.

Solstis elaborated on this transformation as they told us, “As the second single off our upcoming EP, ‘Miss You’ showcases the more relaxing side of our new style. Rather than trying to create a really energetic feeling, this particular track has a very down to earth feel. We wanted to step away from our tracks always having a “drop” and focus more on creating a floating feeling that carries throughout the song as a whole.”
