Alternative-pop sensation Jacob Lee has released his heartbreaking single, ‘Sorrow’ via Philosophical Records. The track was premiered through Rolling Stone India who described it as, ‘“In the soft and well-crafted “Sorrow,” Lee sings vulnerably about tough times”. You can read the full premiere here.
The Australian singer has been encouraging himself to ‘step into others shoes’. ‘Sorrow’ is a perfect example of this as he describes a breakup from two different perspectives. The first verse perfectly sums the concept up:
“She left, a dozen tears upon my bedspread,
A couple thoughts a box of regrets,
Full of memories that we shared…
I left, a single kiss upon her forehead,
A selfish heart out by the doorstep,
& carved a chasm into her chest…”
